Mustard Seed Faith

Mustard Seed Faith

Matthew 17:20 "He replied, 'Because you have so little faith, Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there.' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

God can take the tiniest little bit of faith and work amazing miracles. Growing up I had a little mustard seed on my charm bracelet. When I would wear the bracelet, I would catch myself playing with the little glass globe that held the mustard seed, marveling at how tiny it was. I knew the Bible said faith like a mustard seed could move mountains, but my young brain and heart didn't fully grasp the magnitude of this concept. Faith like a child is an amazing and wonderful thing but as an adult...there is an awe to realizing how truly wonderful that is. As children we just accept it. As an adult we realize how huge that is. How wonderful it is that God takes our tiny little grain of faith and does amazing miracles with it.

There are so many things we need faith for. Faith that God exists. Faith that he loves us. Faith that he has a plan for us, even when we mess up and go off road.

Have faith.

That things I am waiting for and praying for will happen, in God's timing and when it's best, but they WILL happen. Faith that God has my children in his hand, watching over them.  Faith that his promises will come true.  Faith that I raised them to know him, and they will not depart from him.  That today will be a good day.  Faith that I won’t have a migraine or a headache of any sort.  I have faith that God will hold me close and is in control of what is going on even if it feels like things are spinning out of control.

Today I have faith.

God has been with me through so many wild and crazy times throughout my life. I’m far from perfect and have struggled at times but still tend to be a “Pollyanna” or with a glass half full type of attitude. My life may not have been easy, but it’s been wonderful and I’m here to share it in the hopes that maybe you will benefit a tad bit from my experiences.
